Charlie Storms : ウィキペディア英語版 | Charlie Storms Charles Spencer Storms, known as Charlie Storms (1823-1881) was a professional gunfighter and gambler of the Old West, who is best known for having been killed in a gunfight with Luke Short in Tombstone, Arizona. == Early Life ==
Charlie Storms was born in the state of New York, as is shown by public records. 〔 1870 Federal Census for the First Precinct of the 7th Ward of the city of San Francisco (70 Minna street), at page 7, line 5, lists Charles Storms, aged 43, occupation gambler, as having been born in England; however, surviving voting lists for the period list him as Charles Spencer (or Spinner) Storms, born New York. Ancestry.com〕 Storms was reported by the ''Tombstone Epitaph'' to have been in California during the Gold Rush of 1849, which is corroborated by an entry in the 1852 California state census for the city of Sacramento, that lists twenty-nine year old "Chas. S. Storms," a laborer born in New York who had last lived in Mexico.〔 California State Library; Sacramento, California; 1852 California State Census; Roll #: 3; Repository Collection #: C144:3; Page: 109; Line: 35. ancestry.com〕
